Painting (watercolour). Folio 63 from an album showing Turkish costume. Müteferrika çavuş. The çavuş of the Imperial Guard, one of the élite. Wearing a green kaftan, or biniş, with very wide sleeves. Tall white turban, widening at the top, with a plume in the gold plume-holder.
