Tulumbachi, Jannissaire qui va pour éteindre le feu
Painting (watercolour). Folio 100 from an album showing Turkish costume. Tulumbacı, a member of the Janissary fire brigade carrying an axe and wearing a red singlet, a broad yellow kuşak with four folds, blue knee breeches and bare legs. He has a large white turban wound in wide folds round a square grey cap.
